The problem

A laser cutter leaves scrap behind. Every square centimetre that does not become a part is material you paid for and then send to recycling.

Layouts that treat every part as a rectangle waste the most.

The approach

The engine places parts by their real outline, built from plain dimensions or from a 3D model, so a triangle can tuck into the gap beside another triangle.

A second mode loads parts into a 3D container instead of onto a sheet.
